•  Street Maintenance Worker

The incumbent performs semi-skilled to skilled maintenance work to support the operations of the street department and performs other technical work as required. 

Qualifications:

·        A Valid Oklahoma Driver License required

·        Light, medium, and heavy equipment operating principle, practices, and procedures preferred

·        Minor equipment maintenance and repair functions preferred

·        Previous experience with street and mowing equipment, including tractor, mower, and backhoe preferred

Skills

·        Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters, and memos;

         Ability to write simple correspondence

·        Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills and other forms or measurements

·        Organize, set priorities, and exercise sound independent judgement within areas of responsibility

·        Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form

·        Ability to work effectively and respectfully with staff and the public

·        A willingness to participate in training sessions to develop or enhance required skills

NOTICE: This classification is a “safety sensitive” position as defined by the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act and/or the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana laws. As a “safety sensitive” classification, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana.  

• Lifeguards
• The City of Fairview Aquatic Center is now accepting applications for lifeguards. 
• Successful applicants will be required to provide all Red Cross Certificates prior to the pool opening.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
• Applications may be picked up at the City Office located at 123 S. 6^th and will be accepted until the positions are filled.
